it needs something new and exciting because enchanting 100000 things cant really get you a good sword or armor
Okay lets be serious now. So Enchanting has been quite a boring aspect of survival mode. You don't really have that many capabilities and getting swords, tools, and armor that are worth a lot without trying to use a once in a life time key, or boss drop, or some thing else. This is quite unfavorable within the realm of enchanting, and no custom enchantments are not enough. Skills don't really have much of a use within anything actually. I generally get mediocre enchantments although slightly good, anvils are still expensive, you still have a possibility with the anvil getting what they call, "Too Expensive." It's the side of the survival aspects which can be very favorable and beneficial to everyone. There isn't even a reduction of XP used within enchanting or using anvils with skill. What I believe what should be added to enchanting is an actual benefit to having divinity (enchantment skills), having the possibility of enchantments going over the vanilla set limits although with requirements because yeah. Anvils should also become slightly cheaper with skill, enchantments better with more skill (might be the case but i still get bad enchantments), and specific rewards just for enchanters with a requirement of their specific skill that aren't just custom enchantments. The current ones that we have are not good.
Ok lets go over pros and cons. Let's start with pros of allowing enchanting tables and/or anvils go over the vanilla cap with a specific requirement. #1p Cheaper and more accessible high quality tools, weapons, and armor. 2p# The enchanting job will be more useful and desirable. #2p The Enchanting community will be better and drive in more people with a higher profit margin. (I can really only get max swords without CEs to 150k for a little bit amount of people buying) #3p Another path to a lot of money without doing extremely boring LF or a very risky coin flip. #4p It'll help make weaponsmithing a better career in general, it's quite underwhelming currently.#1c Less value to the seasonal kits, as well as the crates #2c Less value and rarity to those specific items. Now, lets talk about divinity skills for less xp used on the anvil and better enchantment upgrades when enchanting. #1p Easier to create weapons, armor, and tools. #2p Better use for skills #1c uhhh not much just slightly less value maybe not noticeable. Now, let's go over the last one which is better enchantment items within the job shop like a XP pet, mob slayer pet, better CE, and maybe even a specific choice among all categories. #1p Another reason to progress towards weapons making. #2p More distribution of pets and specific CE (no risk) #3p A more profitable path towards a ton of money. #1c Slightly less value to pets and CE.
