    Hello everyone,

I am going to be making a series of guides and tutorials for Skyblock and OPSkyblock over the course of the next couple of weeks. These are mostly going to be aimed at helping newer players grasp the concepts of the game. This will be a brief guide explaining how ore/block spawners work on OPSkyblock. If you have any feedback, want to help make a guide, or want to see a specific guide about a Skyblock or OPSkyblock concept, please let me know!

    What is an ore/block spawner?

An ore/block spawner is basically summed up by it's title. It spawns ores or blocks corresponding to it's type. You can tell what type of spawner it is by looking at the title of the spawner in your inventory or looking at the item floating inside it. Here are some pictures:

How do you use ore/block spawners?

Using this type of spawner is very simple. First, place the spawner down somewhere on your island. Next, right click it to open up this menu:

The first thing you will notice are the items in the ore/block spawner. The GUI displays the number of items that the spawner has collected. Here, this gold ingot spawner is full of gold.

There are three different "buttons" in the ore/block spawner GUI. First, there is the Flower Pot button. Clicking this will collect all of the items in the ore/block spawner and place them into your inventory. Any items collected that won't fit in your inventory will be placed on the ground underneath you. The second button is a Redstone Repeater. Clicking this will take you to the /is upgrades menu, where you can upgrade the amount of ore/block spawners you can have on your island at one time. The default limit for this is one, but you can upgrade the limit to have up to six ore/block spawners on your island. The third button is a Hopper. Clicking this will upgrade the spawner for a certain amount of money. Upgrading a spawner will increase the speed at which it spawns items, increase the amount of items spawned, and increase the storage capacity of the spawner. Hovering over these icons at any time will give a brief overview of what they do. Hovering over the Hopper will show you how much the spawner is upgraded in each of the three departments listed above and how much that upgrade will cost.

Here are some pictures of the GUI buttons:

What is the maximum level for ore/block spawners?

Ore/block spawners cap out at level five.

How do you obtain an ore/block spawner?

You can obtain ore/block spawners through opening key crates, from the spawners section of /shop, from /token shop, and from trading with other players.

How many types of ore/block spawners are available?

I will provide a quick list of the available ore/block spawners and how you can obtain them:

Cobble Spawner: available through /shop, vote crates
    Stone Spawner: available through /shop
    Glowstone Spawner: available through /shop
    Coal Spawner: available through /shop
    Lapis Spawner: available through /shop

Gold Spawner: available through /shop, vote crates, gem crates
Diamond Spawner: available through /shop, gem crates
Emerald Spawner: available through /shop, gem crates
Iron Block Spawner: available through Platinum/Valentine Crates
Gold Block Spawner: available through /token shop, Platinum/Valentine Crates
Diamond Block Spawner: available through /token shop, Platinum/Valentine Crates
Emerald Block Spawner: available through Platinum/Valentine Crates

Thanks for taking the time to read this through! I hope this was a helpful guide. If you think there is something I should add to this, please reply to this thread or send me a PM!

I never really understood the purpose of the glowstone, cobblestone and stone block spawners. Mainly the glowstone spawner. They just seem a bit random. Though well in depth guide indeed

Those other spawners are only really useful if you are building a structure made with those blocks. The stone spawner actually has helped my island mates and I save a good amount of money because we build most of our grinders with stone brick. I don't think I have seen anyone using a glowstone spawner yet :p. I am glad you liked the guide! <3

Very well developed I love the fact that anyone can come here and learn a lot from just one post. When I was new to OPSkyblock I wondered at first what it was and now if I was new I could know everything instantly just by this post very good! <3

    Very nice guide Cqrbon!
I like how you included pictures to explain everything you said and the detail that you put into the guide. I'll definitely give people the link to it if they have questions regarding block spawners :)
