This thread is not meant to disrespect the community, the server or the game itself. This is just a place to give your thoughts

I divided it into sections/tabs so you can read short amounts or just certain things you wanna skip to

I've played a lot of gamemodes in the past. PvP servers, Skyblock, Survival, Minigames, Factions, and so on. They are great in their own rights and offer amazing content. However, you have to admit that at some level, there's just too much clicking going around. At least on the multiplayer realm of this discussion.

Players who dedicate every day to the game click way more than most other games, which is quite surprising coming from a "sandbox" game. For servers where fighting other players are essential to winning the game, you're clicking your mouse or trackpad to its limits because higher CPS means you're more likely to get more hits in. For servers where you focus on gaining value, you're placing loads of blocks by clicking away (which can go on for hours). A good chunk of servers have grinders, which require players to click even more to kill mobs for loot. 90% of the activities you do require so much clicking, which is probably why lots of players enjoy it.

Despite the many keyboards and mice that may have fallen victim to this game, it's great to know that it doesn't take much skill to perform the tasks mentioned above. However, players can take advantage of this "clicking simulator" by installing macros or auto clickers (this isn't to accuse anyone) and make the game a whole lot easier. While auto-clicking is not the topic for this thread, it's still interesting to look into why people do it.

Well obviously, it's to gain an unfair advantage over other players. Though look at this from a deeper perspective (and this doesn't mean I'm supporting auto clickers). Some players may feel overwhelmed at their competition when they see or hear that people can click very fast for long periods. Clicking is a rapid hand movement that can cause lots of strain to the user, which is why most people don't enjoy clicking for hours on end. Though to win just about any game, you got to put in a few million clicks or so. When real money is on the line, some players can't help to cheat to compete against legit players who can click for hours.

In some way, I do sympathize with these sorts of players. Though what's the point in having a bot click for you if it just takes most of the fun out of the game? Players who don't rely on such programs most likely enjoy clicking for long periods of time, and there's no shame in them taking a break to do something else for a bit.

While clicking is important for most of the activities mentioned here, there are some that require minimal to no clicking what's so ever. For example, farming mass amounts of crops, fishing, even mining and placing blocks slowly (this may contradict what I said above but this is for people who don't spam click to place blocks. Not everyone does this since its slower). All these activities require the player to click once then simply hold it. Unironically, these activities can often be more boring than grinding mobs and pvping. Since there's little to no hand movements the user can feel bored pretty fast, but this does depend on who you're speaking to.

More activities that require little to no clicking would be a nice thing to see more of on MineHeroes. Prison is one of the few servers that doesn't require users to click for long periods. Since this isn't a suggestion thread, we can improvise and save those ideas for later. Though this likely won't happen since this will allow players to simply tape their mouse down if you just have to hold your click button down to perform a said activity.

To wrap things up, Minecraft has essentially become a new clicking simulator for players. Unlike cookie clicker, which is a pretty popular clicking game, it offers many more creative and cool things to get your clicks going, such as grinding, spamming blocks, or simply buying stuff from a shop. While it is abusable with macros and such, it's still enjoyable for players who play legit. In particular, MineHeroes rewards those who can essentially click the longest/fastest... Okay, that's not entirely true though with the things the server offers, it sure does feel like it. These rewards, however, are for real cash. So players feel even more motivated to spend their day clicking away their favorite mouse.
