    Hey CullanP

I think that you should be more transparent about when a reset will occur (now on SB and generally). I am concerned that people will decide to spent real $$ on things like other people's islands or buying in-game money from others and then turn around and lose it all immediately because there is a reset. That will create quite a lot of animosity.

Also, you should do it sooner rather than later, because the map is a little played out already and there is some indication that people are getting bored.

    Thank you kindly sir,
    Hoopdy

P.S. This amazing suggestion deserves ~30,000 tokens and /we

Resets occur when the owner believes a reset should. If you read changelogs it will tell you estimated timings for seasons. No one knows when it will be done and the staff won't give definite times so that there is no chance of players abusing to win.

    No. And here's why.

If we tell players when a reset happens sooner than 1 week, then certain players will try to take advantage of it and sell all their stuff before reset happens (usually for PayPal money). Not to mention the players who will start getting all their value placed during the time. Bad enough there's already a bit of an issue with players hiding island levels.

Currently, resets are announced one week prior to it actually happening, which is more than enough time for everyone to know. I don't think that should change

Factions, however, is consistent with resets. Mainly because most faction players know it resets every 8 weeks. One week of grace period, 6 weeks of payouts, and 1 week of preparing everything for next map. Then the cycle continues. Servers like Skyblock and Survival have always been inconsistent with its resets. And time will tell when these servers will soon follow the path Factions is following

Last 3 resets were after 4 month. With the current payout timing this season will be 15 weeks long and you can add another week for the rest and we are back at 4 month. So around the 20th August will skyblock reset.

This is something that you can conclude yourself by looking at the past announcements.

    Fair enough.

I have noticed that several top players are selling off their stuff or entire islands at this point. Either because they want to recover their money for next season and know that it will lose value as the end gets closer, or they are just bored with the grind. I just do not want noobs to buy an island for $100 irl, and then lose it shortly after. Not to mention that one cannot really derive any sense of accomplishment where they did not actually do the work to make it.
