When you join the server it should say how many of your friends are online, it would be cool.
If you do /friends and choose "sort by online", then you are able to see which of your friends are online, having it pop up in chat would cause too much unnecessary text in chat, imo atleast.
As Mahtz said you can do that. But don't confuse it with "/friends list" as "/friends list" is a bit glitched at the moment for some people and won't display from online to offline by using the toggle that Mahtz mentioned. Only the "/friends" gui will display your friends from online to offline.
Oh, well my bad.
Thanks for the information
As the above players said, you can just check to see which of your friends are online. This might be a cool toggle in /toggles though. I would be interested in immediately seeing how many friends I had online when I logged in. Cool suggestion!
It isn't about using /friends. Suppose you're on Minechat and you quickly want to know if there are any friends playing on the server. It isn't too bad, and I've seen it implemented on other servers too. +1 if the devs have time
I sadly have no friends, so if this was implemented I would always see the sad number zero.
