    5.8.1 | Factions + OPFactions Reset (August 2019)

    Factions & OPFactions will be resetting on Saturday, the 24th of August at
    4PM EST

    Changelog
    • Divination (View stat information using /divination)
      • This is a new mcmmo skill that can be leveled by enchanting gear or obtaining custom enchants using EXP and will be expanded upon as time goes on

    • A new faction upgrade has been added (Permanent depth strider)
      • [​IMG]
    • Added new /f mute|mutes command (This will prevent players from talking in your faction chat)
      • [​IMG]
    • Buffed koth rewards
    • Disabled placing blocks other than ice,water and lava at y255
    • Flying above normal speeds will no longer be possible (This means hacks can no longer use faster flying)
    • Getting kicked for flying will now kill you if you are tagged in combat
    • /back will no longer work in enemy/neutral bases that aren't being raided and will be cleared when the raid timer runs out
    • You no longer need lapis to use enchant tables
    • Villager/Witch spawners price has been increased to $1,000,000 ($1 Mill)
    • Fly will automatically enable when teleporting/logging into your own land if you have access
    • Axes can now use every custom enchant that swords can use
    • Removed piston sand push limit (This means pistons can push sand even if stacked to max height)
    • Added /playtime <player> command (This will help in telling you whether or not someone is using a new account)
    • Added new exp extract enchant, Sends exp straight to your inventory when killing mobs
    • Added auto exp bottle chests that will automatically convert exp bottles to /bottle form, If the chest is full of condensed exp bottles it will condense them into 1 single bottle/amount
    • Undead horseman has been heavily modified to be harder than executioner, alongside this his rewards have been buffed
    • Fixed being able to blow up protected cobwebs with creepers
    • Sand tools now work on gravel
    • Faction disbands will no longer show up in public chat
    • /f upgrades will now show how many challenge points you have when looking at challenge upgrades
    • Genbuckets will no longer work when being raided
    • Disabled /shop and /pfixhand when inside of the nether castle warp
    • Replaced lava at nether castle with red and orange stained glass
    • Blocked renaming nether stars to prevent scams
    • Fixed being able to see other factions alts, you can only view your own now
    • Fixed manage alts f perm not working for alt command
    • Slightly increased the warzone claims near the edge of the castle build
    • Alongside all of this, 2 new events will be coming soon:
      • Castle Bash and Spawner Hunt
      • These events will be announced before grace period is over
    Rule Changes
    • Multiple factions being on a base at the same time is now allowed
      • The ally limit will still not be changing.
    • All spawner boxes/grinders must be fully open from the bottom (This kind of open hole is disallowed) (Having a floor 1 block below your open hole and or having multiple rooms with nothing in them to confuse players is not allowed, You may still have spawner boxes so long as it's open from the bottom, that has not changed)[​IMG] or have a very noticeable hole, 1 single hole will not work, you will be DQ'd if this is the case
    • For more transparency we will ONLY be disqualifying for the rules that are currently posted on the wiki. If we decide to change a rule mid-map a change-log will be posted as to give time for factions to know about it.
    • Setting up multiple cannons to be toxic towards another faction is not allowed, This means just having 2 cannons setup pointed at a base at the same time will result in a DQ, if you are not careful there will be no warnings for this. If you are caught doing any one of these things, you will be DQ'd.
    • Spreading out your spawners randomly on the ceiling all over the place intentionally to make it extremely hard to raid is no longer allowed, this is mainly aimed towards 1-2 block pillars, This means having spawners on your ceiling is still allowed, just not spread out to make raiding harder (You can still use multiple spawners and have them spread out in boxes over your roof, just don't spread them out for wealth all over the place for no purpose other than to make them harder to raid, Doing so will result in a DQ).
    F-TOP PayPal Rewards
    Paid out weekly on EACH server!
    This map will be 6 weeks long with 4 PAYOUTS.

    The weekly payout amounts (on EACH server) are:

    • 1st Place: $100 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    • 2nd Place: $75 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    • 3rd Place: $50 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    Total Prizes (after 4 weeks):
    • 1st Place: $400 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    • 2nd Place: $300 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    • 3rd Place: $200 Cash to the Faction PayPal Email
    Total Prize Pool: $900 (or $1800 including Factions/OPFactions)

    Winners will be determined each week at 4PM EST. The payouts will begin 1 week after grace period (on September 7th).

    If you change the fly speed value in clients such as badlion client will that be counted as cheating?

    Or is it not possible to fly over the normal speed value anymore?

    Raiding is pretty easy as it is. Having these rules where you have to clump spawners and have open spawner rooms makes it easier for the faction to get raided and completely takes away the skill of raiding and the art of base building to counter losing all your faction worth.

    I agree, they should let you place spawners where ever you want providing that there are not illegal defences such as watered or blocked off spawners

    but there are also people that make unraidable bases.

    I agree, watering spawners shouldn’t be a thing nor should placing spawners (in a non grinder setup) to fill a room for ftop. It could just be how brief the sentence is to describe the rule and the just the solo picture which is causing confusion. At the moment it just seems like you have to physically let players into where your spawners are even if they are breaching your base at y100 or lower. We also need clarification on how separate vault spawners for big factions work. Are we allowed xp grinders in vaults or not? Need Cullen to go into more depth on the matter.

    No base is ”unraidable” with cannoning meta at the moment. Anyone can schem a cannon in not know how to use it and press fire and it will go through the walls with ease. Plus the base you probably think is unraidable is just a base a max player faction is grinding it out 24/7. Which I agree can be challenging for the smaller factions, who aren’t experienced. But then again should a 5 man faction just be able to wipe clean a 35 man fac (or what ever max is). If they know how to actually cannon ( which includes accessing different parts of a base one they have breached the main wall) then yes I agree they should be able to. But this new rule seems to make it just any old cannon can take a whole factions f worth. Then again it’s written very briefly so I will expect a lot of factions to break the rule and when questioned about. Will ask for more me explanation.
